As the only charity of its kind in Australia, the Pancare Foundation supports world-leading research projects into pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.
The Foundation also delivers programs that are designed to address individual and changing patient needs, from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement.
The Pancare Foundation works across three main areas.
- Patient support: providing holistic and individualised support to those affected; from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement. Patient support includes online communities, patient support meetings, palliative care support programs and a youth program among other initiatives.
- Research: working to create a world leading research facility solely dedicated to pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.
- Advocacy, collaboration and development: working with corporate Australia; Federal/State and Local Governments as well key community leaders and organisations to advocate action and put a lasting spotlight on pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.
